Resident DJ Profiles
 James Murray
Gifted Resident James Murray started DJ’ing in 1997. Growing up
in South London, James quickly took a liking to Garage music, the trend
at the time. With the latest Garage music only available on vinyl,
James bought a pair of decks and very quickly picked up the art to
mix
Trends moved on and House music became very popular in the late
90’s as Garage music faded out. James fell in love with House
music and knew that was the style for him
James secured his first DJ’ing job playing at a bar in Croydon.
From here he played at a number of local bars and clubs. In 2004
James entered a national DJ competition. After winning the area heats
and the regional heats, James came 5th in the national finals
2005 was a good year for James, playing in Ibiza being the highlight.
Spending the summer on the white isle, James played at bars including
Bar M, Café Mambo, Play, Kenya and Base Bar. On his return
to the UK, James played at venues including Turnmills (London), The
Arches (Glasgow), Digital (Newcastle) and Honey Club (Brighton)
Since then, James has returned to Ibiza on a number of occasions and
has also played in bars and clubs up and down the UK
In 2007 James decided it was time to start running his own nights and together with a friend set up Gifted Promotions. Having started in bars across
the country, Gifted now holds events in some of the biggest
clubs in the UK with James leading the way on the decks
During 2008 James played gigs at some of the biggest clubs in London and the south-east including Turnmills, Ministry of Sound, Pacha, Whitehouse, Area, Brixton Mass and Island Club
With his calendar already booked up for the first 6 months of this year, James finds himself in even more demand and 2009 promises to be an even bigger year

 Steve Smart
Steve Smart is one of the fastest growing names in dance music and radio, presenting the Kiss flagship Saturday night Floorfillers Show, the all new Friday Night Kiss and back for some classic action with Kisstory on Sunday nights
Steve’s reputation has led to his show being host to the cream of Dance Music’s heavy hitters including Sasha (who really doesnt do much radio at all, but supports Steve’s show) Mark Knight, Tom Neville, Darren Emerson, Nic Fanciulli, James Zabiela and Carl Cox to name just a few
 Simon Dale
After starting his DJ career in his homeland of Australia Simon Dale decided to pack his bags and head for the UK. After DJ'ing for Trent FM in Nottingham and Galaxy 105 in Leeds, Simon was offered a place on Kiss 100. As well as presenting the stations Drivetime show Simon can be heard DJ'ing in clubs in and around London
Simon first DJ'ed for Gifted at On Anon in April 2008 and since then has become one of our regular DJ's
 Lewi Five 0
Lewi started DJ'ing at the age of 16, playing UK garage music, and after a few years found himself DJ'ing in Ayia Napa at Spot club alongside some of the top names on the scene. After a couple of years he decided to hang up his headphones, but 6 years later a trip to Ibiza saw his passion rekindled and he decided to get back behind the decks, this time opting to play House music
Lewi has played at many of the big clubs including The Cross, Pacha, Whitehouse, Egg and Ministry of Sound. He made his debut for Gifted at Turnmills in August 2007

 MikeyO
Mikey is one of the up and coming DJ's currently playing for Gifted. He was first spotted when he made it through to the final of the Gifted Promotions DJ competition in the summer of 2008. Since then he has DJ'ed for Gifted at several events in Loop, Croydon and at Pacha
With more events lined up for 2009, including his debut at Ministry of Sound, we expect MikeyO to go from strength to strength and prove he really is Gifted

‘King of the Cambridge Airwaves’, Davey Hampton is an accomplished
and passionate DJ with 14 years experience and a massive love for
music in general
Davey plays regularly at prestigious venues such as ‘Plastik’,

 DJ Lady H
Lady H caught the turntable fever at the early age of 15 and began
a life in front of the decks, entertaining and performing to crowds
in her local area. She has progressively eradicated barriers for
other female DJs throughout the UK and holds a dedicated following
Lady H is renowned for her diverse blend of R&B, Hip-Hop, Funky
House, Dance and Old School Tunes. Her unique style of delivery keeps
crowds constantly engrossed and surprised
There’s not much stopping this young lady’s progression. Her
rising status has taken her across the borders to Jersey, Athens,
Russia, and Ayia Napa. Lady H was also headhunted to DJ at celebrity
premieres for Angelina Jolie film premiere Sky
